Post  ChickenKicker on Mon Oct 22, 2007 12:59 pm

We are waiting for the 1st book to arrive. There are previews of the 1st 9 chapters on:

EN World, Vikings d20 thread.

I must say that after game testing (still playing) Vikings d20 with Jolly G. as a GM and game creator I am getting spoiled rotten afro .

We all hope that The Le Games get the full product done so you all can use this wonderful product to enhance your gaming experience.

I think its really cool that you guys are actually in the region (if not from it) where the Norse originated. I was just curious as to how that influences your design decisions.

Thanks Very Happy

P.S. I can't wait for it to come out so I can do a viking campaign!

Welcome to the boards, Scyld!

I am born, raised and living among some (historically speaking) very significant Viking locations. As to how that influenced my game design, that is a bit more difficult to answer. It is probably one of the reasons why it has been so important to me to make the game as historically correct as possible. (There's not the tiniest, little feature of Vikings D20 that doesn't spring from Viking history or mythology, or from Norse folklore.) It has also been important to me to try to give players from all over the world an understanding of what it was like to live in this part of the world during the Viking era, and how the unique geography and climate of this area influenced the Vikings' culture and their way of thinking.

VIKINGS will be available through rpgnow and dtrpg on Thursday May 22nd (about two weeks). I apologize for the delay, but reformatting from A4 was more problematic than I had expected.

I will be offering a discounted coupon on this forum for each and every one of you when the book is released!
